THIS WEEK IS RED RIBBON WEEK!!!!  Here is a list of the spirit days for the week

Monday:  Hat Day

Tuesday:  Sock it to Drugs (Wear crazy socks and slippers.)

Wednesday:  Team Up Against Drugs (Wear your favorite team jersey.)

Thursday:  Join the War Against Drugs (Wear your favorite camouflage clothes.)

Friday:  Dream it! Believe it! Achieve it! Drug Free (Dress like someone you admire.)

Learning Goal: Explain conflict and change in Europe to the 21st century.

Friday, October 30th

We completed the power point and began our study guide. 

HW - complete study guide and study :)  Extra credit chance on test....  Put the page number next to each question on the study guide of where you found the info in ch. 12 or you can put which set of your notes you found it in AND make flash cards out of all the study guide questions!!! This is due Monday :)

Thursday, October 29th

We reviewed our Europe at War chart and then started a review power point Europe in Conflict.  Download WCG_CHAPTER12-WWI-WWII updated

HW - current event is due tomorrow!!!

Wednesday, October 28th

We reviewed for our quiz and then took them.  We then completed a graphic organizer about Europe at War.  We began to review Europe at War using the attached power point.  We will finish reviewing tomorrow.    Power point - Download WorldWars Causes and Effects

HW - Current event due Friday, turn in early for me to check for corrections :)

Tuesday, October 27th

We finished up our vocab sheets and reviewed for our quiz tomorrow.

HW - study for your quiz - extra credit - Complete key term block style sentence for each vocab word - make sure to include the yourself, the word, and the meaning in the sentence.

 

Monday, October 26th

 

We finished watching Anastasia Dead or Alive.  We then began some new vocabulary.

We turned in our projects and watched a documentary of Anastasia, Dead or Alive.

We worked on our time lines.

We worked on our project today.  We have one more day in class, tomorrow :)

We worked on finishing our project notes sheets.

Tuesday, October 20th

We worked on our final products of our time line project :)

HW - bring in color pencils  -  CHANGE IN PROJECT DUE DATE - DUE TO A LOT OF GREAT WORK ETHIC IN OUR CLASSES TODAY and the fact that tomorrow is early release therefore shorter classes, we will also have Thursday to work on our time line projects :)  NEW DUE DATE - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23rd :)

October 12th-16th

Friday, October 16th

We completed a Journal 3 2 1.   We then reviewed the answers to the Ch 12 section 1 and 2 guided readings.  We then started our notes for our Conflict and Change in Europe Timeline project.

HW - No homework

 

Thursday, October 15th

We took our quiz and then read Ch. 12 section 2 and completed the guided reading.

HW - make sure both sides of CH. 12 guided reading are complete

 

Wednesday, October 14th

We read Ch. 12 section 1 and completed a guided reading.  We then played kaboom, a review game for their quiz tomorrow.

HW-  QUIZ TOMORROW!!!!!  STUDY INFO IN CH. 11 section 2 and the power point notes and you will do GREAT!!!!!

Learning Goal: Students will learn about Prince Henry the Navigator and the early days of European exploration.

 

Tuesday, October 13th

We viewed a power point about the age of exploration and filled in notes as we went through and discussed the power point.

HW - Review power point notes.  There will be a quiz on Thursday!  STUDY INFO IN CH. 11 section 2 and the power point notes and you will do GREAT!!!!!

Monday, October 12th

We shaded a map of the European Empires in the 1700's.

October 5th-9th

We worked on the final copy of our European Explorers Tiny Poof book

Thursday, October 8th

We reviewed the answers to the Explores chart.  We then completed a rough draft of our Explorers tiny poof book.

HW - Bring colored pencils tomorrow and rough draft of tiny poof book

Wednesday, October 7th

We will review the answers to the Explorers chart tomorrow, so make sure it is complete by then.  We watched a video stream about the age of Exploration and took notes on various explorers.

HW - none

Tuesday, October 6th

We read Ch. 11 section 2 and completed the Explorers Chart in class.

HW - please complete your key term blocks.

Monday, October 5th

We continued working on our key term blocks. 

HW - You need to have at least 5 out of the 10 terms completed correctly by tomorrow.
