Friday, October 2nd

Students wrote in their 3-2-1 Journal and began working on the Key Term Blocks for Unit 2 Vocabulary words. We will finish these on Monday.  Attached is a copy of the vocab terms Download Exploration vocab key term blocks

Tuesday, September 29th

Today we had classroom guidance and reviewed our study guide.  TEST IS MOVED TO THURDSAY!!!  I recommend the students make flashcards from their study guides questions and answers.  They can make these on index cards, or they can cut up sheets of paper.  Put the question on one side and the answer on the other and use them to study.  Each student who completes these by tomorrow will earn a treat in class :)

HW - Current event due tomorrow, test and notebook check on Thursday!

Learning Goal: Compare how the location, climate, and natural resources of the United Kingdom and Russia affect where people live and how they trade. Compare how the location, climate, and natural resources of Germany and Italy affect where people live and how they trade.

We used a set of Venn Diagrams to organize the information from our charts.

HW - complete venn diagrams if not finished in class, current event due Wednesday - turn in early and I will check it over :)

Thursday 9/24  - We finished filling out our chart today in class.

HW - IF you DID NOT finish the chart, you should complete this at home.  Current event is due this coming Wed.  Turn it in early if you like, I will check if for you in case you need to correct it before official due date!!!

Monday, September 14th

Today was the final day of research for our 3 religions project.  Tomorrow we will start on the final product and work through Wednesday, it will be due on Thursday at the beginning of class. There will also be a quiz over the info on Thursday.

HW - a completed DSS is due tomorrow :)

We started our final projects.  We will work one more day in class tomorrow.

Wednesday, September 16th

We worked on our final projects.   They are due tomorrow.  We will also take a quiz over the main text of each religion, important people within each religion, and their main place of worship.

We completed our journal 3 2 1 and watched a video stream about a variety of Eastern European countries.

The students will be able to explain the major concerns of Europeans regarding the issues such as acid rain i Germany, air pollution in the UK, and the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl.

We completed the power point and our notes sheet on the environmental issues of Europe.  We then started a crossword puzzle that also included physical features and climate of Europe along with the environmental issues.
