Monday, May 21st

We began our Aboriginal bark cloth activity. Today we created the bark cloth and tomorrow we will color then Aboriginy style :)

Tuesday, May 22nd

We will create our Aboriginal scene on our bark cloth.

Wednesday, May 23rd

Students finished up their bark cloths and began there summary songs :)

Thursday, May 24th

Students completed their summary songs and will perform them tomorrow.

Students will perform their summary songs :)

May 14th-18th

Monday, May 14th

We enjoyed a video about the wildlife of Australia.

HW - Project due on Tuesday

Tuesday, May 15th

We learned some more Aussie talk and about the natural hazards of Australia through crossword puzzles.

HW - If they crosswords were not completed in class, they need to be completed at home.

Wednesday, May 16th

Students will create an acrostic of Australia.

HW - The acrostic will be due next week, if it is turned in my Friday, the student will earn extra credit.

Thursday, May 17th

We will be watching Kangaroo Jack and tying in the 5 themes of Geography :)

HW - The acrostic will be due Monday.

May 7th-11th

Students began a mini review of 5 themes of Geography and map skills.

HW - none

Tuesday, May 8th

Students completed the mini review in class.

HW - If the review was not completed, students need to check out a book one night this week, the assignment will be due on Monday.

Wednesday, May 9th

We began the Social Studies part of the interdisciplinary project.  Students will research for a time line and 1 page essay about the changes in Australian history for the next three days.

HW - Project due Tuesday, May 15th

Students will work on their 4th nine weeks writing assignments.  Their topic is their Australian Adventure.

HW - Rough draft due if not completed in class

Tuesday, May 1st

Students will peer edit each others works and write their final copy.

HW - Final copy due tomorrow if not completed in class

Wednesday, May 2nd

We will begin a trip through Australia with a packet of different activities helping to further teach students about Australia.
