September 25th-30th

Monday, September 25th

Students took Europe and Russia History pre test and then begin Ch. 2 key terms.

HW - None

Tuesday, September 26th

Students read Ch. 2 section 1 about Ancient Greece and completed and anticipation guide and a framed paragraph.

Wednesday, September 27th

Students began learning about Feudalism by watching two short videos about the topic.

HW - None

Thursday, September 28th

Students finished watching the research videos about Feudalism.  We will be using the notes they took the past todays in a paper next week.

September 19, 2006

September 18th-22nd

Monday, September 18th

We started a lesson on time zones using prior knowledge and pgs. 22 and 23 in their Europe and Russia text books.  We then began a practice set of worksheets students will complete for homework.

Tuesday, September 19th

We will review time zones and climographs and the begin working on the study guide for Ch. 1.

HW - Complete study guide and study for the test!!!  Remember Ch. 1 section reviews questions 1-5 are due Thursday

Wednesday, September 20th

We will go over the study guide and play a review game.

HW - Study for test that will be tomorrow over Ch. 1.  Section reviews are due tomorrow as well as extra credit.

EXTRA CREDIT - CHOOSE 2 out of 3 #6's in the section reviews to complete

Students will take Ch. 1 test and Ch. 2 pretest

September 11th-15th

Monday, September 11th

We reviewed the Western Europe map for a quiz on Wednesday.  We then began Ch. 1 Section 2 Climate and Vegetation

Tuesday, September 12th

We reviewed the Western Europe map for a quiz tomorrow.  We then reviewed Ch. 1 Section 2 with a power point.

Wednesday, September 13th

Students will take the Western Europe map quiz.  We will then begin reading Ch. 1 Section 3 over Natural Resources of Europe and Russia. 

HW - Students should complete the guided reading and take home quiz.  Students should take their time on the take home quiz, they are allowed to use their books :)

Thursday, September 14th

We will review how to read a Climograph chart and then begin reviewing Time Zones.

HW - Begin studying for the test over Ch. 1 which will be next Wednesday.

Friday, September 15th

We will continue learning about Time Zones.

HW - Study for their test over Ch. 1 which will be next Wednesday.

September 05, 2006

September 5th-8th

Tuesday, September 5th

Students labeled a map of Europe and began to study the locations of each of the countries.

HW - Students should study the Western Europe side of the map. The first quiz will be over this side only next week. 

Wednesday, September 6th

Students will review the European maps.  The students will have a quiz on Tuesday, September 12th. The students will then read Ch. 1 Section 1 in their Europe and Russia text books and fill in guided 2 column notes.

HW - Student will complete the two column notes for homework.

Thursday, September 7th

Students will go over the 2 column notes from Ch. 1 Section 1.  We will then begin to explore where the physical features of Europe and Russia are located on a map.

HW - Finish labeling the physical map of Europe and Russia :)  There will be a quiz over the Western European countries on Wed.

Friday, September 8th

We will review the European Physical Map.  We will then take an open book/notes quiz over Ch. 1 Section 1.  We will then review the Western Europe map.
