Students are completing a study guide for their final exam that will take place on FRIDAY!!!

FRI - Mon 5/16 - 5-19

Students watched a DVD of Hurricane Katrina.

MAHT Literacy: Tue - Thurs 5/13-5/15

Students are working in class doubling, tripling, halving, and fourthing a recipe of their choice as a project grade.  Students have the option of earning 10 points extra credit by making whatever their recipe is and sharing it with the class!  There are 21 students in literacy so just to be save make enough for 25ish people!

Students are working on a planet packet during class.

Text Book Collection:  FRIDAY!!!  We encourage students to turn in their workbook so we can recycle them!

Science: Monday, 5/12/08

Today students shared their children's books to the class for +5 bonus points!  Great Job everyone! 

-10 to anyone who did not turn in today and will be turning it in tomorrow (except for period 2)

Homework:  Optional Test corrections will be due on Thursday 5/15/08

Science: Thursday 5/8/08

Today the students turned in their writing assignment comparing and contrasting the heliocentric and geocentric theories!  We all watched Bill Nye the Science Guy - Sun and Planets!

FIELD DAY TOMORROW!

Science: Wednesday 5/7/08

Notes on Geocentric and Heliocentric theories.  Students need to complete the vendiagram started in class and finish at home.  The paragraph comparing and contrasting the theories is DUE TOMORROW!!!

Science: Tuesday 5/6/08

Students took the test and had the rest of the period to work on their children's books.

Science: Monday 5/5/08

Today we reviewed in class for the test.  The students were given information to study and now they are responsible for taking that information and studying! 

The students had the remaining part of the period (about 30 minutes) to work on their children's books!  From what I have seen so far... they are looking GREAT!!!

GOAL for you book:  Make sure to explain WHY!!!!! 

Test tomorrow!  STUDY!!!  Study SESSION @ 8:15 AM!!

Mandatory Book Check Tomorrow!!!!  NO book = NO field day!

Field Day: Friday 5/9/08

Children's Books due on Monday 5/12/08

WED: UGLY SHIRT/TIE DAY

THURS: HAT DAY (buy a ticket for Relay for Life for 1$ to participate)

FRI: TEAM COLOR DAY (6-1 is white and 6-2 is orange)  Decorated shirts will earn extra points!

MATH Literacy: Wed - Fri 4/30 - 5/2/08

We are currently training for our Financial Football Tournament!

Thurs = Savings/Interest
