Welcome new 6th graders! We have a very exciting new year of science planned for you! Here's the schedule for this week:
Remember: Get all of you forms signed and returned to you homeroom teacher so that you can receive your locker on Thursday! Also, please remember to get you science lab safety contract signed and returned!
Monday:
1. Review Syllabus
2. Review Lab Safety Contract
Tuesday:
1. What is Earth science? Brainstorm Activity
Homework: Finish putting your Earth science topics into 4 catagories
Wednesday:
1. Finish "What is Earth science?" Activity
2. Minor branches of Earth science - Book notes
Thursday:
1. Branches of Earth science collage - We will work on this in class today, but it needs to be finished at home. The due date is next Tuesday.
Friday:
1. Textbook scavenger hunt
2. Textbook distribution
Looking Ahead:
Students will be given a measurement chart to memorize on Tuesday, 8/19. A quiz will be given over this chart and the branches of Earth science on Friday, 8/22.
