Now studying rocks!!

We have officially finished with minerals and have moved into studying rocks!  Overall, students did very well on the minerals test.  Here's the plan for this week:

Monday:
1.  Notes: How scientists classify rocks
Download classifying_rocks.doc
2.  Compare/Contrast the three types of rocks (homework if not finished in class)

Tuesday:
1.  Notes: The Rock Cycle
2.  Reinforcement Worksheets

Wednesday:
1.  The Rock Cycle Comic Strip - Rough Draft (Due Friday)

Thursday:
1.  Work on final copy of the comic strip

Friday:
1.  Notes: Igneous Rocks
