Still working on rocks!

We are still working on our unit on rocks. 

Students will receive a small project at the end of this week.  The due date is one week from Friday (10/5).  Students will be required to choose 4 out of 6 activities to complete.  Please note: AC students will be required to complete all 6 activities and place them on a cube that they have created.

Now studying rocks!!

We have officially finished with minerals and have moved into studying rocks!  Overall, students did very well on the minerals test.  Here's the plan for this week:

Monday:
1.  Notes: How scientists classify rocks

2.  Compare/Contrast the three types of rocks (homework if not finished in class)

Tuesday:
1.  Notes: The Rock Cycle
2.  Reinforcement Worksheets

Wednesday:
1.  The Rock Cycle Comic Strip - Rough Draft (Due Friday)

Thursday:
1.  Work on final copy of the comic strip

Test on Friday!

You have your first official test this Friday!  Study!!  The test covers chapter 2 (minerals) sections 1 and 2.  Please see Mrs. Emmett if you need extra help!
