Here's the schedule of assignments for this week:

Monday:
1.  Online Plate Tectonics Web Quest

Tuesday:
1.  Finish Web Quest:  If this isn't finished in class, finish it for HOMEWORK.  Parents:  if your child does not have access to the internet, please write me a note on their paper so they won't have points taken off.

Wednesday:
1.  Seafloor Spreading Notes
2.  Plate Tectonics Map:  label the different types of plates and tell which direction they are moving

Thursday:
1.  Plate Tectonics Performance Task Project (this will mostly be done in class).  Students will write a proposal and create a futuristic map based on the plate movements.

Friday:
1.  Work on Performance Task Project.  Finish this for HOMEWORK!  Due on Monday!!!

New Unit!!

Starting on Monday we are beginning a unit on plate tectonics!  Here is what is planned for the week.

Monday:
1.  Earth's Interior KWL
2.  Earth's Interior Notes
3.  Classwork: students will continue working on their chapter survey.  This is DUE on WEDNESDAY!

Tuesday:
1.  Inquiry Activity: Pangaea continent puzzle
2.  Pangaea questions
3.  Finish your chapter survey

Wednesday:
1.  Turn in Chapter survey
2.  Continental Drift Notes
3.  Review Pangaea questions

Thursday:
1.  "Continents Adrift" Video Streaming
2.  Post Video Quiz

Friday:
1.  Convection Current Demonstration
2.  Convection Current Notes
3.  "Heat Transfer Around the House" worksheet (in class)
Homework: "Puzzling Scenarios" worksheet.  Make sure you explain your answers!!

Major Announcement! Rocks Unit Test Friday!!!

Hello Everyone!  Test on Friday will cover: Classifying Rocks, Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic Rocks.  Questions are drawn directly from notes so STUDY!!!!!
