Hello Everybody,

Yesterday the students had to write a business letter to their parents asking for permission to watch an episode of CSI in class.  This assignment serves two purposes.  One: This assignment is a classwork grade.  Two:  the parents need to sign the letter.  This is giving the students permission to actually watch the show.

Today the student were given given a RAFT assignment for another business letter.  The RAFT assinment is attached.  The students need to choose one RAFT to write.  They may do two if they want extra credit.  This is a test grade.

Hello Everybody,

We are now done with the CSI portion of technical writing.  The students did a great job.  As a reward, the students will watch a CSI episode in class at the end of the week.  However, the students will need permission from their parents to do so.

Since the students are learning how to write business letters this week, they wrote a business letter to their parents today asking permission to watch the show.  The business letter is homework as well as their permission slip.  The letter needs needs to be signed by a parent and brought to class tomorrow.

If you were absent, write a business letter to your parents asking them to watch an episode of CSI in class.  The body needs to be a minimum of one paragraph.

Hello Everybody,

The resume was due today and the application is due tomorrow.  Check over the application and make sure that everything is filled in.  I will not accept the application if it is not complete.

Everyone should get to the packet tomorrow.  If you do not, you will not have the information for the test on Friday.

Hello Everyone,

I'm so sorry I didn't post last night.  I couldn't gain access to the internet. 

The resume is due tomorrow.  The link to the sample is below.  You may use a resume template from Word or you can set up up just like the sample.  You need the same categories as the sample or you can replace either personal or work experience with your own category that fits you better.  If you hand write it, it has to be in ink and write on the front side only.

The application is due on Thursday.  If you do not move on beyond this point, you will not get the information you need for the test on Friday.  You will not pass the test if you do not get to the third task.

Hello Everyone,

The students solved the whodunnit mystery today.  They have now been assigned to complete an outline for a technical essay in their groups.  The students will be responsible for individual essays, but they will need to help each other so everyone will have all the information.  The individual essay is due on Monday and is worth a test grade.

If you did not complete the lab report, I will accept it tomorrow.  However, I will not ask for it again.  This is your responsibility.  I am disappointed in several of my students for their lack of effort on this assignment.  TURN IT IN!  THIS IS A CLASSWORK GRADE!
