On Tuesday, we listened to "Tell Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe.

Persuasive Writing

Today we worked on generating ideas for our persuasive product essay.  We completed a JOURNAL ENTRY on our VIEWPOINT, SUPPORT, and EXAMPLES.

We will work on our graphic organizers again on Thursday.

Happy Monday

We have NO DOL this week!

We are working in our Writer's Notebook each day to complete a persuasive journal writing entry.

TODAY
We completed JOURNAL ENTRY #1 on SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Students had to write their VIEWPOINT, one REASON/SUPPORT, and an EXAMPLE for the reason.

These journal entries will give us practice for our TASK #2 for our project as students plan to write their persuasive essays. 
REMEMBER, our TASK #2 essay is on the PRODUCT students created during TASK #1.

On Tuesday, students will be starting to plan their essays using graphic organizers.

Monday, Nov. 3rd

DOL #11 After we do homework, we can sit around and watch television.

Today, students corrected spelling, grammar, and punctuation (there are NO errors in the sample above).

We worked in our PERSUASIVE TEAMS today (TASK #1).
