Many students volunteered to present.
Students will be presenting today - Thursday. I took volunteers first, then called on students randomly. MOST blocks had students volunteer. IF YOUR CHILD DID NOT VOLUNTEER, they can LEAVE TRI-BOARD IN ROOM until they present, OR take their project home to finish/adjust/fine-tune.

This week's DOL
My cousin is happy about visiting our family in Georgia, so we have several, exciting places to visit in Atlanta.
Tuesday's task: List the words vertically and write in the parts of speech for each.
Today we checked OUTLINES again (many students were NOT prepared yesterday), and students worked on using their outlines to begin their rough drafts. Many students are BEHIND and were unable to use their class time to write and ask questions.
DRAFTS are due tomorrow.
Students should use their OUTLINES and NOTE CARDS to write their DRAFTS. EACH item (Roman numeral) on their outline should be a PARAGRAPH.
Paragraph I is the introduction and thesis statement
LAST Paragraph is the conclusion

2. Bring in your SOURCE cards - tomorrow we are working on writing a bibliography
On Friday, we explored sample thesis statements and students were given a guide for their outlines.
