Students took a Quarter 4 PRE-TEST.
We are starting a new unit on Thursday - TECHNICAL WRITING!
Today, we worked on more questions for the DOL review. This week, students received (3) DOL sentences (taken from previous DOLs). Each day, they have been given different questions.
A DOL Test will be given on Monday, March 31st.
Students received a STUDY SHEET on Thursday that includes the (3) sentences. They can use the sheet to rewrite the questions and study.

HERE ARE THE DOL sentences:
Sentence 1
Many football fans watched the play-off game on video, since they missed seeing their favorite team at the stadium.
Sentence 2
When Ms. Bailey handed the students their topics, they were excited to know that they had a variety of topics.
Sentence 3
My cousin is happy about visiting our family in Georgia, so we have several exciting places to visit in Atlanta.
Today, student copied 20 MORE spelling words. These are IRREGULAR PLURALS and should be added to last week's words. Instead of having a spelling test next Friday, students will have a PLURAL/PLURAL POSSESSIVE TEST.

We went over the (7) RULES for MAKING PLURALS.
Students were given a NOTE sheet to use during the lesson.
CLASSWORK was also given (from the board) and students practiced forming plurals and plural possessives.
THERE WILL BE NO SPELLING test tomorrow!
The (20) words given this week will be studied as part of our PLURAL unit.
Students will be given ANOTHER (20) words tomorrow to add to the (20).
A TOTAL OF 40 PLURAL and PLURAL POSSESSIVES words will be studied for the PLURAL test on Friday, March 28th.
Book points have been calculated for quarter 3.
The DEADLINE was today (extended from Friday, March 14th) and students SHOULD HAVE 18.

Today students completed their QTR 3 POST TEST (taken on Tuesday).
We went over some rules for making nouns plural and completed our spelling page from Tuesday.
NO HOMEWORK
On Monday, March 17th, we took a self-assessment on the research process and our projects. Students responded to a list of questions about their project and how they felt about the research.
They MUST add a copy of the RESEARCH PAPER, BIBLIOGRAPHY, and OUTLINE.
These items are due THURSDAY, March 20th for CREDIT on the self-assessment!
