Tuesday, Dec. 11th

On Monday of this week, we finished up a persuasive team project.  Each team had to complete a task on their product prototype to market to a company.  These were handed in for a project grade (TASK #1).

On Tuesday, we worked on TASK #2 for our persuasive project.  TASK #2 is INDEPENDENT - students organize and draft a persuasive essay for their product.
Persuasive Essays are HOMEWORK and must be drafted TONITE.
They should be 5 paragraphs:

1.  Hook and viewpoint
2.  Support #1 with 2-3 examples.
3.  Support #2 with 2-3 examples.
4.  Support #3 (strongest support) with 2-3 examples.
5.  Conclusion
Hook - grabs the reader's attention.  Can be a question, fact, statement, opinion.
Are you tired of spots on your clothes that just won't come out?  Can you count the number of stain removers on your shelf that just don't seem to work?
Viewpoint - a clear statement (opinion) about the product.  The product name should be in the viewpoint and it should NOT contain any support.
Example:  Tidewhite Soap is the a revolutionary soap that cleans any dirt and stain.

Here are the planning sheets (graphic organizers).  Students can use EITHER graphic organizer - it is due with their draft on Wed., 12/12
