7th Grade Field Trip

On Wednesday, October 31st, the 7th grade will be going on a field trip to the Atlanta Civic Center.  The cost is $30.00 and includes admission and round trip transportation on a luxury coach.

Sept. 10th

WEEKLY DOL

Because the holiday is so important, many schools are closed for the week.

1. Students corrected punctuation and grammar.

2. We discussed the elements of a narrative.

3. Students handed in their CORNELL notes that they have been taking for two weeks on narratives.  They also handed in their homework from Friday (narrative topics).

Reading Reveiw Sheets

As part of the 25 Book Requirement, students have to complete READING REVIEW sheets on books, stories, poems, and texts they read.

This week, we completed our 8th SHORT STORY in Language Arts.  Students can now update and complete their review sheet for 1 BOOK POINT!

Friday, Sept. 7th

2. We wrote in our WNB and discussed picking a topic for our narrative

HOMEWORK
Write a sentence explaining what your topic will be for your narrative.  Also include a sentence that explains what TYPE of narrative you plan to write - personal narrative, autobiographical narrative, reflective essay, memoir (use page 49 in WAG textbook for definitions of each)

We used our (2) column notes from last week and added some more information about narratives.  We read our Writing and Grammar book and took notes on pages (55) and (42):

What determines style
Notes should be taken on the RIGHT of the paper and after notes are taken, a question should be written on the LEFT.
