Spelling Words

This week's words are as follows:

DEFINE spelling words and write a sentence for EACH.

Technical Writing Unit

Today we started a NEW UNIT - Technical Writing.
Yesterday we talked about what technical writing includes and students had a lot of great ideas.  Technical writing is REAL WORLD WRITING.  It includes business letters, invitations, budgets, directions, recipes, and reading and writing that is around US!

For the next 4 weeks, students will be taking notes IN CLASS on types of technical writing.  They will have a total of (11) technical writing assignments to complete over the 4 weeks.  Every few days, they will get notes (I passed out special NOTE SHEETS) that they copy on the format for the writing.

Today we took the DOL Quiz

We finished a CRCT Practice test and went over the answers. I know that the students are READY.

I also shared a PowerPoint on CRCT strategies.
