Learning Goals:
Students will analyze and review student writing samples and revise their responses from writing prompt #1.
Students will analyze and revise their perusasive essay (Friday, Dec. 4th).
MONDAY
1. DGP - parts of speech
2. Lesson: How do I respond to a writng prompt. We went through the steps on how to read and understand a writing prompt.
3. Students handed in their persuasive essay drafts (assignment started IN CLASS on Friday)
TUESDAY
1. DGP - sentence parts
2. Lesson: We looked at student samples of the writing prompt. We reread our responses for the same prompt and made revisions and took notes on what we wanted to change (support, examples, details, introduction, conclusion).
HOMEWORK
Literary Persuasive Reading assignment (worksheet 119/122) - due Thursday, Dec. 10th

2. Lesson: Teacher models a sample persuasive essay on WRITE SMART program.
